This course was recommended by a friend from Parkersburg. By what I had read it was not getting good reviews. So glad I didn't go by what was being said, this course is definitely worth playing! The people in the club house where so friendly and welcoming of out of town players. The course was in good shape was being watered while we played, also very friendly people working the grounds. We had food at the turn and the guy took his time made wife a BLT that she said was one of the best she ever had. Don't go in expecting country club setting it's a very well run and family owned course. Will definitely recommenced it to anyone playing in in Parkersburg.

Basic golf. There is a creek winding through the property that adds interest. It's walkable and good for beginners--you won't lose many balls. Design is old-timey with small greens and no bunkers. Conditions are okay. Good value for $29.

I am torn writing this review. For every good point, there is an equally bad point. The rates are dirt cheap, but the staff was rude. They would not let me pay for 18, playing by myself at 4:15. I completed 9 holes essentially having the entire back nine to myself in 58 minutes and the woman behind the counter said I must have skipped holes and still would not let me pay for the other 9.

That having been said, the greens are in GREAT shape, especially considering that 90% of the remainder of the course is crabgrass. The course is wide open and forgiving.

All and all, an ok course if you can avoid talking to the staff.
