I played White Birch on September 12th, 2012 (the year of the drought) and the conditions were the best I've seen on any course in the past couple of years! The teeboxes, fairways, and greens were absolutely perfect, and the rough was plush and full (wish my lawn could only look so nice). The course offers quite a challenge while set into a beautiful layout. Rolling hills, a little water, some well placed traps, and lots of trees. (One note about the trees... if your driver is off, you're in for a long day.) I am really very impressed with this course. Thank God I have a client nearby.

This is a beautifully maintained public course. All 45 holes are well-groomed. It is good for all ages, but the errant shot will put you into the woods. And there are woods surrounding virtually every hole, as well as sufficient water and sand to protect most holes. Water, birds, and foliage surround the holes, and the fairways, so accuracy is rewarded. A great bargain, with country-club level maintenance at public-course (Wisconsin) rates.
