I've been dragged to this place because a buddy of mine sets up a golf outing there every year. I HATE going to this place. The people there are so unprofessional. They have no idea how to manage the place. They lost our hotel reservation twice. They took a name, but they wouldn't take our credit card when we made the reservation both times. When we arrived we had some additional friends who decided to join us and when we asked for an extra room, they said they don't make/clean the room unless they have a reservation, so by 7 p.m., they couldn't give us another room, and they were snotty about it too. The next day the manager yelled at us because we had a third person in the room. WE WERE WILLING TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA ROOM!! We actually left early because the lady went nuts about it. I could go on and on, but that's a prime example of the level of service you get at that hell hole.
Great course, friendly staff, very well priced, not crowded. easily play 18 in 4 hours or less. Very challenging and interesting layout
I golfed this course with a foursome yesterday, and I feel we were treated disrespectfully by the manager/beverage cart driver/ranger for no reason. She rudely accused of us not following the rules, specifically not playing speedy golf. We did not appear to be holding up anyone, but she said we were. Instead of approaching us in a professional manner, she was rude and unreasonable. We played 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes, which is not slow and within their rules. We would have finished in four hours if she wasn't continually harassing us. We went there to enjoy a round of golf and instead left very disappointed with the way we were mistreated. I've been golfing for 30 years, and this was the worst experience I've ever had at a golf course.
This golf course is very unprofessional, and obviously doesn't care to attract new customers nor offer any level of respect to long time patrons. My recent experience at nippersink was made so horrible by the managing staff that i will NOT return and will advise others to do the like. The drink cart/manager woman greeted our foursome (composed of 2 players new to the course and 2 returning players) with rudeness and irritability, then proceeded to harass us through the majority of our play. As an experienced golfer keeping with an acceptable pace of play (well within the parameters outlined by the course), our group was constantly interrupted and rushed along by the management. As gentlemen golfers, we would've gladly let faster players play through. It was a failure on the manager's part to approach us with professional courtesy and request that we let a trailing group play through. Instead, the manager crudely disrespected us by barking orders and then telling us to leave if we didn't speed up our already speedy play. How Nippersink's management handled this instance speaks volumes about their careless disregard of paying customers. I've never been so insulted or treated so poorly by a course manager that I will not return to this place. There are several other respectable, fairly priced courses in the area that welcome and accommodate players of all skill levels, and conduct business with dignity and class. This course is also poorly marked and badly up-kept.

I enjoy playing this course as it can be challanging and at the same time become very play-some. It has some great scenery and the 4 times I have played there, I have enjoyed each and every. I am scheduled for Fathers day and look forward to another day of good golf.
It's Oct 2010. The course is neglected. A couple of years ago there were a few improvement - new tee boxes, ect. Today there's weeds in a number of the traps, areas of no grass, in general run down. The real problem is the staff. The used up hags/biker bimbos know nothing about golf - allow groups to tee off on 10 as other groups are coming up 9, sarcastic in general. It used to be OK when in you just wanted to get a round in - but like today play the front nine in an hour and a half - sit on 10th tee 15 - 20 minutes before realizing this squeese in group were more than a little tipsy or something.I'll never go back - and I generally use the word never.
