Tried this course because I was interested in a membership. Staff was top notch and friendly. Course was manicured well. The $5,000 initiation made me think there was something more special about this course though. I think the tennis and pool program is pulling most of that value.Course had a few fun holes, the rest were basic dog legs. No easily visible yardage markers to know distance to the doglegs, no yardage books for sale, and course wasn't registered on my GPS. Superintendent does a good job taking care of the place. There is clearly a focus on low-maintenance greenery (not many flower beds). Clubhouse is going through upgrades, very nice dining, mens locker rooms were very outdated. Members were very high-brow, which I found funny considering most of the price appears to be Perceived Value due to the 'private' title. I guess I've been spoiled at Thornblade and The Cliffs. Members here thought they were at one of those places. I would play again for $50 if it were public, but only if they sell a yardage book. In terms of golf, there are many courses in the area with a better course layout and clubhouse experience for much cheaper.
