I love this place! Every time I'm in Charleston I come here; it's exceptionally scenic and beautiful, by far one of my favorite courses. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
I play this course every time I am in Charleston. Fairways and greens are usually in decent condition and the greens have plenty of breaks. The back nine has historic markers and scenic views on the Stono River. Though Stono is not a long course, it has plenty of water and other challenges. You will use every club in your bag.
A scenic course that hugs the Stono River on several holes. The fairways are fairly open, but not wide opened. On the back nine, if you keep the balls out the River, then the battle is half won. Several houses on the course, and a highway that runs beside some holes, takes the historic feel from the course. Overall very well maintained and very playable.
