Play this course often as it is close to home. Some of the low ratings are ridiculous as while this is a pricey course it is clearly better than any public courses in the area. If this course deserved the low ratings some gave, try calling to book a tee time as unless you call days in advance it can be hard to get a tee time. This is a great course.
Played this course yesterday and found it in average condition. The greens were fast but the fairways were not in good shape for the high green fees they are charging. I will not return anytime soon.
People in the pro shop were rude and obnoxious. Bunkers were not playable. 13 out of 18 pin placements were within 5 paces of the edge of the green. Clearly done on purpose to save the fat part of the green. It was $52 to walk during the week. Not worth it at all. I played here a few times years ago and it just isn't the same.
This course is one of the best public courses in the area .The course does not beat you up .It is fair with some difficulty ,The staff is excellent and the pace of play is fine ..I travel 45 minutes and will continue to do so because of the value
I've played the course many times since it opened and it seems the maintenance and condition of the course has deteriorated somewhat this year. They hired a new management company last year and it seems the condition isn't the same. The fairways are very thin with lots of unrepaired divot marks. The rough is very "rough" and uneven....lots of dirt spots. The bunkers are inundated with black pebbles. And the greens appear to have more of an unrepaired ball mark problem this year. The grass part of the driving range is not in the best of shape and is only available on weekends....mats during the week. This time of year courses in this area are usually at their best before the hot July/August heat but MH's condition right now is well below par.
