I've played this course many times over the years, and have no complaints about the actual golf course.This course has some of the worst staff and rangers I have ever encountered, they sincerely feel like they are doing you a favor by patronizing their golf course.Attempts at managing pace of play are non existent, starters greet you with a grunt, and rangers could not be more useless and rude.Experiences like this make me feel like quitting golf.
This course is an absolute nightmare!, with the worst part being the J***a** who works in the pro shop.I booked a tee time for two on Good Friday in the afternoon. We showed up to pay, and the pro shop tells us $50 bucks for 18 holes.Now keep in mind, this course is on the PA Cancer golf pass, which entitles the user to a free round, weekdays. Additionally, I was on their mailing list and had an email for a $32 round for 18 riding. None of this seemed to matter.I told him we had cancer cards, and said they are no good on weekends- , I responded, Since when is Friday a weekend day? his response was,Well, it's a holiday- I said Good Friday is a holday?- He said, today it is, $50 bucks take it or leave it! This guy is an absolute criminial. My partner and I refused to pay $50 for a wide open muni course which was overcrowded, no rangers, and poorly maintained.When we told him we'll just play 9 because he told us it would be a 6 hour round, he laughed in our face like we were asking for his left N**!Eventually he agreed and charged us $31 to play 9 holes. It took us just under 3 hours to play 9 brutal holes because of slow play, my partner was almost hit with 3 balls from hackers from other holes and our cart was hit once!Absolute golfing nightmare with incredibly rude and dishonest staff!I would avoid this place at all costs!
