The Madison club is a public jewel built on an old farmland. I used to hunt this land as a kid. The course, while above average for the area, is not especially scenic. It is, however a really nice course for the money when they run specials.... which is often.I've mostly found Madison Club to be well maintained, with nice soft fairways and well maintained greens. The course has some nice risk-reward holes and some par 3 holes that are a great challenge. There have been times where I was disappointed with the course, but those usually coincide with dry spells or too much rain in the area. I would like to see them get GPS... it's nice enough course to have it. take a rangefinder because yardages are hard to determine. All in all it's a nice course with a friendly professional staff. It may not be a professional course but it's usually above par.
Played here last June- Nice layout, but other than that, WOW, what a stinker this was. Fairways burnt out, rough even worse, tee boxes okay but half the yardages signs were falling apart or on the ground, lol, the greens were bumpy and 3 different colors, ALOT OF DISEASE, obviously. Greens were hard and didnt roll true. Just a really bad experience all around.
