This course is absolutely garbage now. Need new owners
Over Lake golf course is a high-end public course in the Erie area. This is a great spot to enjoy a challenging yet fun round of golf. Something unique about this course is that it’s designed by the owner (and he’s done a great job.) As the name suggests, the #1 hazard on this course is WATER! There is a large lake, and smaller ponds spread out throughout the course. Water isn’t the only hazard you’ll find - there are also sand traps and large trees. The trees are along the sidelines and strategically placed on the fairway. Even though there are plenty of hazards on this course, they are placed in forgiving locations. It’s features like this that make the course tough but still enjoyable. It will test your skills but not exhaust you. There are 3 tees on the course. Most of the fairways are straight (watch out, some of them can be really narrow with mature trees on both sides, like Hole #5.) Here’s a few holes that you’ll want to watch out for. Hole #3 (355 yards) is situated along the right side of the large lake. Hole #16 (524 yards from the blue tee) is a blind shot and doglegs left. All in all, hazards more than layout of the fairways keep this course interesting. The maintenance is excellent at this course. It’s basically at the level of that of a private club. It’s clear that there is pride of ownership at this course. You’ll also find a clubhouse that offers all the standard amenities that you’d expect - pro shop, food and drinks. Over Lake offers an enjoyable round with just the right level of difficulty. It’s carefully maintained so that all you have to focus on is your technique. The water features and mature trees make this a scenic course. A great spot for your next round!
Beautifully kept course with tee times regularly available.
Not like it used to be, unfortunately. Overgrown cups, sloppy cutting.
Short and easy but a lot of fun. It is well maintained and it is interesting despite the lack of length.
