Deceptively difficult course with many blind tee shots and sloped greens. It is like walking through a giant, yet secluded park, especially on the back nine. The best by far of the public courses in the area.
Overall I really enjoyed this course. Every hole is truly unique and elevation changes make for interesting shot angles and a good workout for walkers. Many of the holes run along dense woods, but the holes are generally wide enough to allow a minor miss of the fairway without too much penalty. Course conditions were excellent considering the price. They run the sprinklers nearly constantly during hot sunny days so the grass stays green... the downside to that is that this also makes the grass grow like crazy during warm weather and the fairways can get a bit long and soft between mowings. Pace of place can be a bit too slow at times.
I have to say the maintenance was excellent on this golf course. This may be due to the fact that the sprinklers are on while people are playing. Now one or two holes i can deal with however 9 straight holes, getting soaked while teeing off and then trying to sink a putt before getting soaked yet again. We were told that we had caught a "loop". Lucky us. I honestly thought maybe there were hidden cameras on us. Other than trying to stay dry we managed to enjoy the golf course and the greens were in great shape. Also have to agree with previous review that the pace of play is not enforced at all.
