The kind of course you love to hate. Open layout on the water? Check. Wind a factor on every hole? Check. Some amazing holes with water in play? Check. At least 5 memorable holes what will make you say "wow" when you step on the tee? Check.A ten minute wait on every tee? Check. Rude staff indifferent to the fact that your starting time was 900 but is already pushed back to 930? Check. A starter who seemed annoyed that we wanted to play golf? Check. Goom-ba guys from Long Beach and Queens playing in tank tops carting around six packs of beer? Check.Its the kind of course you look at picture the potential. Its ruined by overplay, awful staff and long rounds. If you can catch this place off-season thats the bet. Stay away on the weekend.
Good course for a municipal with a lot of traffic. Some maintenance to the bunkers and greens would really improve the course. Good routing, especially on the back 9, the 16th is a great hole. Overall, would recomend for a round there, greens were a bit bumpy and traps need sand. Still, a very nice course with great views of the bay, nice holes along the water.
