If you’re looking for a fun, classic golf experience make sure to try out Green Acres in Kingston, NY. The course has been under new management within the last few years, and they are really improving the condition of the course. The course is in a rural setting, surrounded by farmer’s fields - but that doesn’t mean that this is a cow pasture course! It’s very well maintained with good staff and management. The fairways are flat and open. Rows of large trees separate the holes and offer a nice challenge. There’s one tee box and two par 5 holes (#4 at 437 yards and #5 and 489 yards) on the course. There’s no sand traps, which makes the course pretty easy to play. The shortest hole is #3 at 169 yards. The best part about golfing her is that it’s a genuinely fun and relaxing experience. The course is never too busy. It’s certainly a hidden gem! It’s also a scenic course, being framed by low, tree covered mountains. Green Acres gets all the elements of a great day of golf right - good service, a fun course and not too busy. It’s worth a regular spot on your golf schedule.
