The course has come a long way with the new owners over the last 3 years. New drainage on the front has helped the flooding issue and re-seeding and course maintenance has given the course back some if it's look from the glory days. Course gets a lot of play, but a great value for the price.
So sad to see all of the benches dedicated to people are now removed. No ranger, no Food & Beverage. Have removed ALL water coolers. Greens look better @ a par 3 course....
The greens are all dead, they have gone thru 4 superintendents in 1 year. Then they give these great rates and fill up the course with beginners and no ranger and it takes 6 hours for 18 holes by yourself. Nice place, but sad to see it go downhill. Scharre Run is ruined and landscaping is not taken care of
I played this course after a bad rainstorm, but it will still worth my while despite the many puddles. The course itself is beautiful, and so are the views. I was confused a bit by the layout and wasn't sure where I should be hitting at times, but there are some great long holes and some sweet par-3s (I landed two tee shots 20 feel from the hole on two of them.) Seems this is/was a private course now open to the public. I got a great price for the round online and had an absolute blast. Would play there again.
No decent fairway to be found, greens are patchy and awkward settings.
This is the worst golf course I ever played in my life.
