Love this course, there was very few people, it's five minutes from my work so I decide to try it. I was blown away, the course is celebrating it's 100th year and it really was it great condition. I play Galloping Hill and this course is minutes from there, but this is less crowded, cheaper, and a really nice track! I have to admit I was worried because of the Newark address, but I felt very safe, there is a 7 foot fence that surrounds the place and you wouldn't even know your at an Urban Golf course if not for the 6th hole. I will definitely be back.
Played this course for the very first time yesterday, as a walk-on. First, the staff was great and the course, well, it’s a county course, so don’t expect it to be manicured like some of the non county courses, however, in nice shape. I actually enjoyed playing here and will return. Walking the course is pretty easy, no cart needed. The only two concerns that I found with this course was some of the tees and field of play are right next to each other and you better keep your eye on your ball, because someone may come along and play your ball. No bullet proof vest required here, only a helmet; balls flying over your head.
Very nice staff, especially a fellow by the name of Frank (complimented me on my swing lolol). The kitchen makes a mean fried fish sandwich. A little over priced. greens a bit tricky Dont let the other reviews fool you the play is rather quik also!!!
