Well where to begin. I guess I'll start with the fact that this course was recently purchased from the state and will soon be closed permanately. The plan, according to the staff I spoke to yesterday, is the state isn't going to build on the land or restore it, rather let it become over run with weeds and whatever animals what to inhabit it. I guess kind of like an area of refuge to whatever. The course itself should be closed now, as the maintainance is gone. No fairways to speak of, greens barely kept in a condition you can putt on and tee boxes...well there weren't any. Just pick a spot in the ground where there was once a legible cement marker letting you know the hole and distance. It's probably for the best considering the area surrounding the course is as run down as the course itself. A few holes neighbored some ghetto class people who even had a poor neglected angry dog tied down close enough to the course that you had to walk around him to get to the next tee. That or take your chances on being bitten. $19 to walk twilight weekend (they only have 14 golf carts left) is robbery at best if not fraud as well for advertising this still as a golf course. The owner ought to truly be ashamed. No logo balls which normally would be a bigger issue with me, but considering the other disasters here it was hardly an issue. The scorecards are paper print outs without a course map, so unless you played here before, good luck finding the next tee as cart paths are non existent. The sad thing is at one time this course probably was once nice. Two holes on the front nine overlook the bay and several holes would have been challenging and unique. I write reviews for every course I play and hate writing bad ones, but unfortunately I must be honest with anyone who reads them in an attempt to figure out the quality of a course. I have never given out an F as a rating but this will be the first. If you are a lucky one to read this before you go and they close for good consider yourself fortunate. DO NOT GO HERE. Overall rating F.
