I highly recommend passing on Passaconaway golf course.

I have played nearly 1,000 golf courses in my lifetime and this had to be, by far, the worst golf service experience I have ever encountered. I was embarrassed to bring my family here. The green fees were very high, which is fine, but you expect to be treated well for that amount of money. Everyone we encountered in the clubhouse was unwelcoming, non-helpful and some even very rude - unfriendliness seemed to be the way of life in this place. Nobody said hello to when we walked into the clubhouse, helped with our bags before and after our round, sent a food/beverage cart around the course, or offered to take our lunch order after 9 holes. Good thing we brought a bag of pretzels with us.

And if the staff's service was not bad enough, the etiquette of other golfers on the course was also less than par. The course is laid out so that virtually every hole runs in parallel with each other so you are always being hit into from foursomes on the right or left of you. Two of my family members nearly got hit in the head with line drives with not even a peep of FORE to be heard - very dangerous. And twice, while teeing off, people drove their carts directly in front of our tee box to look for and play their balls without even asking if it was ok for us to stop teeing off. I have seen better etiquette on a mini-golf course.

There are several other more beautiful golf courses in the area, and especially in this economy, they will treat you like royalty to make your experience a pleasurable one and keep you coming back as a customer. I recommend spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.
