This is a classic Donald Ross course. It is not very long, in yardage but has some exceptional greens that make scoring difficult at times. The course was in pristine condition and the staff was great. Thanks to club pro, Matt Horvath, for his exceptional services. This course is a must if you are in the Pinehurst area.
the starter here is the worst. told us the pace of play was 4.5 hrs. after finshing the 2st hole in 15 minutes he made us aware of what we just did. we explained to him that was the pace of play. he jsut rushed us of the 2nd tee (into the next group we could see off blind tee shot) and told us to pick up the pace. On the second tee of the second hole ! well that was the theme the rest of the round. If he wasnt telling us to pick up the pace, which we couldnt cause he was forcing us into group ahead of us, he was telling us that there was slow groups up ahead and it shouldnt be too much longer. the course was ok for earlier in the season. some of the greeens were ridiculous Ross greens. i wouldnt go back. Not ever.
