I just started this course is a little cheaper . But the greens are in better shape then just up the rd at a more expensive price . I love this course . Well taken care of with a love and pride of golf . I will continue to come here and have a great time golfing ! David
This is not a difficult course and a great place to bring the family for an outing. You won't find any sand hazards and only a couple of water hazards. The bamboo along 11, 12 and 16 is really a nice touch. Some of the Par 4's are reachable in 1 if you can really hit the ball. The owner and the staff are very courteous and there are plenty of carts but you can also walk the course. Getting to the 1st tee is bit of a hike uphill but after that walking is a breeze. The only problem I encounter is when it rains a lot and 3 holes are wet as they sit in a valley. This course has a really nice layout and would really be a great course if it had green side bunkers. One word of caution -- if you are used to a 5 star course with a price to match then you will probably be disappointed. But if you are like 90 percent of us looking for a value and a good time then this is the place. Go give it a try.Excellent pictures of the course on Facebook -- http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wolf-Creek-Golf-Club
I play this course first, each summer, as a warm-up while in NC on vacation. Each year this course has gotten in worse condition. It is a very nice layout, short, and a great value to go out and work on your game. The greens have recently been aerated, sanded, and seems like nothing else. Almost unplayable, with some greens patched, and others with huge dead spots and areas of just sand. For the most part, I enjoy playing here, I guess I am a bit disappointed in the condition because I do like the course.
for the money it is a very good course.
