I stopped by the Plymouth C.C. of Plymouth, NC Sept. 28, 2017. As I was in route to another city, I did not have the opportunity to play this layout. Too bad for me for it is in fine condition. General Manager John Gray and his small staff do an outstanding job maintaining this some 80 year old club. It has a pedigree other courses would love to have. The nine-holer was designed by William Flynn with the supervision of both Richard Wilson and Ellis Maples! This club deserves more business. It's only drawback is that it's located off the beaten path of U.S. 64 just a few blocks north of the local Ford dealership. A big plus is that this hidden gem is open for public play.

Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth, NC is built on a sand hill which allows excellent drainage. PCC can be played in the wettest weather conditions. 90% of the course will NOT have Cart Path Only rules. They do use the 90* rule to preserve the dormant grass during the winter months.

Cash only at this old course designed by William Flynn in 1937.

This course is challenging due to its length and small bent grass greens.
However, it is very playable for any golfer. There is only one water hazard.
