Green Meadows golf course is a great place to have a fun round with a group of friends. The staff are very welcoming and there’s a laid back feeling here, kind of like you’d get at a Par 3 course. This course has a bit more to offer than your typical Par 3, since it’s an 18-hole regulation course.

Dress code calls for collared shirts and shorts or pants, but it’s not too strict. You can also bring your own cooler onto your golf cart. The golf carts were updated in the last 5 years and make for a comfortable ride.

You’ll find 4 tee boxes on this course. It’s nicely paced with a good mix of Par 3, 4 and 5 holes. With that being said, it’s still a short course. Pace of play can be a problem on the weekends, since this course is popular with large groups. It can take nearly 3 hours for 9 holes. Come on a weekday if you can.

The fairways are long and this is a typical “cow pasture” course. There are no sand traps. The biggest challenge you’ll face is the condition of the fairways. Greens are in decent shape but play a bit slow.

The green fee is $24 on weekdays and $29 on weekends. There’s a pro shop and snack bar, but you have to bring your own beverages to the course. You’ll also find a driving range and putting green to warm up before your round.

Green Meadows is a perfect place for a casual round of golf. The layout is more interesting than your typical Par 3, and you can’t beat the hospitality. This course is welcoming and friendly - a great spot to play a fun round with friends.

Started playing there 25 yrs ago. Everyone called it a cow pasture, but I took up and said it`s a good place to learn with friendly people and the cost was always low. Went 3-4 times a wk and loved it.
Moved to the other side of Charlotte and haden`t been there for a few yrs. My son-in-law started playing and wanted to show him the wonderful place were I had learned to play. We have played there now 3 times and EVERY TIME, there is a group there on the weekends. They hold everyone up and will not move aside, but if you cut around them at the 9th hole, a guy will come riding down and yell at you and ask you to let them play through. Even though by the time they are finished, you could have been 2 holes ahead. I really believe the owner ( who I think used to just work there when I started)needs to give some lessons in golf educate to some of the now regulars. It took us almost 3 hrs to play 9 holes patiently waiting on them to finish each hole. The greens and some fairways are always dry, but I took into account the price and friendly service. That is no longer an option and I will pay the extra $15.00 to play at a better course from now on. Might be ok to go there on a week day, will never know, because I`ve been there for my last time and it`s a shame that everyone acts like it`s a country club when it used to be so great.
