Ste. Genevieve Golf Club

This course is in really bad shape. I have played this course for several years now and it has gone downhill very rapidly. I understand that this is "winter" and every course is going to have issues but this course has the same issues in the spring, summer and winter.

For one the greens are constantly dead or have dead patches. They always have divots in them from the lazy old members. I literally had to fix 5 divots on a par 3 (those were just the ones in my line) last summer. They almost always have patches missing, which makes putting nearly impossible. If they pay someone to maintain these greens they need to get their money back.

The difficulty is another complaint of mine. They made this course way too easy to satisfy the aging members. There are maybe 6 bunkers on the entire course, it's a joke.

The price of this course, which you think would be low considering the horrible up-keep and joke of a pro-shop, is way too much. It was $35 in the summer (weekend). For a little more you could play much nicer courses such as Bent Creek (Jackson), Perryville, Crown Point (Farmington) and several other courses.

Skip this course, it's a waste of time and money.

We went on Mother's Day and this is a very nice course. They do a very good job at taking care of the fairways and the greens. We traveled 45 minutes to get there and it was worth the trip! We will be back with friends.
