Kinda wet and muddy even on a dry time.
The staff couldn't care less if you played there or not, no restrooms in the course, nobody brings anything to eat or drink in the course. Take everything you need with you. If you are not white, please don't go.
This is a fine old course that is suffering from neglect. The score card said there would be yardage stakes but there aren't any. There are only flat, in-ground color-coded concrete yardage markers, that are hard to find. Only a few sprinkler heads have yardages marked on them. Judging yardage is a problem unless you have a GPS device. A range finder won't always work because there are a lot of blind holes. There are no working water fountains on the course, just an out of order pop machine. You wouldn't want to have to use the toilet. Not all the cart paths are paved, and some pavement is old and overgrown, so be prepared for a bumpy cart ride. The driving range has grass tees, so that's a plus, but there are no targets, flags, or yardage markers. The range balls are an inconsistent mix of old found balls. Play was slow and tee times way behind schedule. We didn't get to tee off until 45 minutes after our tee time. The rude ranger, who identified himself as the course pro, scolded the wrong players, resulting in a heated argument. When the irate golfer said he was never coming back, the course pro told the golfer he hoped he never would! The golfers left the course in a huff, not even finishing their round.
