Their greens fees are far too high. According to their website it now costs 40 bucks to play nine holes. Forty bucks for a nine-hole course? Jeeze!

The course itself is very nice. There is a beautiful oceanside par three which is among the prettiest golf holes on the coast of Maine (at least when the tide is high). The greens, bunkers, and fairways are in good shape and are well maintained.

The fairways are narrow, and many of the holes have very dense woods on either side. If you have a hooking or slicing problem, make sure you bring a LOT of spare balls, because you will lose a ton of them. You are usually better off leaving the driver in the bag and using your mid irons and short irons instead. Laying up is almost always the better option, unless you are consistently able to control the spin of the golf ball.

Over all, despite all of its positives, I simply can't justify the expense of playing there any more. Sixty bucks to play 18 holes on a 9 hole layout is just too darned much. There are plenty of other courses that offer a much better value.

Beautiful little resort course along the Maine coast. They have both a 9 hole regulation course and a 3 hole "Lake Course" for beginners. Their signature 2nd hole is a par 3 hitting over the cove. One of the more challenging holes you will find anywhere! Excellent conditions and scenery. Highly recommend for a weekend get away!
