Decent course, friendly staff, nice round.Played Ike on a nice warm April Thursday afternoon. I was paired up with another gentlemen and we teed off at about 3:30PM and made it around in 3.5 hours, a very nice comfortable pace. The course itself is a hilly layout with a few doglegs with quite a few small creeks and wetlands type areas in play. We played from the white tees which measure and just under 6,300 yards. The back tees play at over 6,600 yards. The course is still recovering from a really tough winter, but it was certainly more than playable on this day.One interesting aspect of this course is that on the back nine, you start off with two par 4s, then there is a stretch of 6 holes of either par 3s or par 5s. The finishing hole is a tough uphill par 4.The cost was reasonable. I rented a pull cart and my round cost me $36. If you use Golfnow and have more than 1 person, I think you can get it cheaper (and also possibly include a cart also).I would certainly play it again.
Nothing really special. Guess I was expecting more. Not much in the way of amenities, course was tight and had serious rough, scenery was nice and as far as value (I used my Tee Time Golf Pass) so was only $35 if I remember correctly. Definately will play again. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and I was definately made to feel welcome.
I played this course for the first time in a couple of years and they must be under new management because everything was better. The staff was friendly, the conditions (while not perfect) were vastly improved, and we played on a nice weekend that looked busy but we got around in 4 1/2 hours. I had sworn never to play there again and I'm glad someone told me to give it another shot. You could actually see that they were making improvements around the greens. I hope it doesn't stop there because there is a lack of places to play in this area.
Course was in horrible condition. Fairways uncut; tee boxes were more mud than grass; greens had large dead areas, divots, etc. Don't waste your money.
