Tuesday May 29, 2012I don't care what they say about the owner. He has a top notch facility. I was fortunate enough thanks to the MGA to test this track out. The course also offered me a Bounce Back Day, so I plan on taking 3 of my golfing buddies back to this wonderful layout. Normally, I am critical of courses with too many doglegs, but these doglegs are not so severe that you can not see the flag location after you hit your tee shot. The greens are superb and they are rolled and putt true. The course has a lot of elevation, so there are sidehill, downhill, and uphill lies. Two of my favorite holes are #5 and #12., both water holes. #5 is a 202 yard downhill par 3 and you have to carry the water or else. There is no baleout area. Then there is #12, a short 340 yard par 4 with an elevated tee, and it appears to be an island fairway; however, there is quite a bit of real estate for a landing area. You perception on the 2nd shot makes this an exceptional hole. I'm returning for another chance at this great layout.
