Over the Labor day weekend a friend and I played for the first time at this course. Both of us are ex-marines and have been playing golf for years. I have never had such a HORRIBLE experience at a golf course in my life. I called and setup a tee time (11:00), got there 15 minutes early and still had to wait 30 minutes before teeing off. Went into the club house for a quick break on the 6th hole and had horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE when trying to purchase some items (no one was there at the register for 15 min). Then, the person was very short with me, didn't answer my questions, and you could tell that I was bothering him by taking up his time. We finished the 9th hole and decided to quit because of the traffic on the course (took us 4 hrs to play 9 holes with carts). Him and I went into the club house to get a rain check for another time. Waited 20 minutes until someone came to the register (and I know the person saw us walk in from the outside). Then accused us of drinking on their course. They had the audacity of physically removing our small 6 can cooler from the golf cart into the club house and going through it. When in all reality neither of us drink and we picked up 'the 1 beer can' from the cart prior to us starting the course. The manager angerly stated very rudely "don't ever drink on our course that is what are liquer liscense is for." If he would have calmly stated his concerns we could have explained that the 1 can of beer was not ours. Instead we let it pass. MY FRIEND HAD $25.00 AND SOME CHANGE IN THE COOLER THAT THEY HAD BROUGHT IN THAT WAS MISSING. (Obviously, while they looked through the cooler they took the money).
We got our raincheck and left without saying a word. We have learned that actions are louder than words. So, hopefully this review will help save others from making the same mistake as we did-GOING TO SAHM GOLF COURSE!!!! Ironwood golf course right up the road is the same to play without the hassles and unprofessionalism.
