VERY DISAPPOINTED with this course! Called to make the 1st tee time @ 6:30am. Arrived at 6:10am and had to wait for a 4some when we were a 2some! All the wholes are duplicates.....the par 4's are 320-340 and straight, the par 3's are 170-200 and straight. I was looking forward to glofing this course given what I have heard and read, but it just didn't live up the hype! I had heard it was a hidden gem, but it should just remain hidden. The staff was rude on the course. There were two guys blowing grass out of the green-side bunkers and didn't start the blower until we got on the green and then pretended to not speak English when we asked them to wait (we heard them speaking English while making our approach shots.) All in all, I will not golf here again. I am very disappointed to have had so much aniticipation to golf a course and then BLAH!
Beautiful Gem hidden away from most of the public. One of the best deals in the State. I lived less than 15 minutes from here for more than 15 years and never played it even though I had heard great things. A few days ago went in to use the practice facility which featured a beutiful green than rolled fast and true, and a wonderful range with new range balls. While hitting a bucket Dan Phillips approached me to ask if I was from the area. I explained to him that I was currently stationed in San Diego in the military and that I had never played the course but had been told it was a real Gem. Dan gave me a complimentary Round so I went out the next day with my father. The course turned out to be one of my favorite in the state. Each hole is unique and challenging. The Stimpmeter for the day was posted at 12.5 . I didnt believe it until I actually played the first green. They were fast and true. My tip for the course is to get a yardage book even though the carts have Gps. This course is no walk in the park and requires a lot of focus but is also extremely fair with proper shot selection. I would go into further detail but I will let you experience the surprise yourself.
Nice links inspired course. Greens were fast and true. Course suffered some damage to the fairways due to the weather this year. I thought the twilight rate was a little high for courses in this area. $60 w/ cart at 3:45 on a Sunday. Course lacks enough water stations on the course. This comes into play on hot days. The cart service was decent enough to fill this void. The pace was slow for our twosome, behind a slow foursome. Can't fault the course more like a lack of courtesy from the foursome. Back 9 has the more interesting holes. Challenging yet not overly punishing. Staff was very friendly in all aspects.
The best course in the area.Very hard and always windy. Links style course with a few awsome pot bunkers. This course has everything you want in a day on the links. The staff is great and you have to go to the 19th hole. Great food and a hot bartender.
