Really well maintained course with generous fairways, but really interesting choices off the tee. Fun shots over water requires weighing the risk-reward. Terrific finishing hole. I usually play during the week so it's almost never crowded. I've heard the weekend has 5+ hour rounds. My gal and I usually finish in about 3 hours during the week. Everyone plays fast. Nice course. Great value!

For the end of winter in Chicago, this course was in very good shape, especially the contoured greens. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The bigger screen GPS on the carts really helps. Variety on every hole, but not hilly. Lots of sand, and traps are the calling card. They need some attention, but lots of rain in prior days could be much of the reason for that. Had a great time, will be back!

Great Course, giant greens. Superbly maintained. This is dedinitely one of the nicest courses on the Southside. Can be a bit of the pain to check in if you haven't played their before.

I had the pleasure of playing George Dunne last week, and wow...what a place. There aren't many places in the Chicagoland area that give you the same experience for the price. Word of warning: it's a tough course. There's sand everywhere; 63 bunkers in play, I believe. I had a great time, however, my biggest complaint is that the pace of play is terribly slow. I echo everyone else's sentiments and say get an early tee time. It took my foursome (I went to play by myself, but there were so many people there they paired me with three other guys) almost six hours to play eighteen, so be prepared to wait to tee off...or hit your next shot. With that said, I still thoroughly enjoyed my round here. It's a challenge, and worth every penny. Even though it kicked my butt, I'll definitely be back. Side note: I think the bunkers on the back nine are being repaired right now. The front was excellent, but the back are giant mud pits (though it had just rained.) Other than that...play here! Or don't, so it's less crowded.
