The course is difficult for average golfers because the greens are very small, requiring an excellent second shot or an accurate tee shoot. Bad shots can be recovered if the next shot is accurate. Missed shots, slices or hooks are easy to make and deliver a real penalty in most cases. The great part about this course is the people who own and opperate it. They are truly wonderful people intersted in the customer having a great time and experience at their course. I have been playing this course for forty years, and I still find it a joy and a challenge every time I play. Both the skilled golfer and the annual duffer can play together on this course and feel at ease. Even though the stars for the rating don't seem to record the values I've submitted, the course has, in my mind, 5 stars for amenities, maintanace, scenery, difficulty and value.
