My wife and I planned two days of our Hawaiian vacation around me playing the Palmer Course at Turtle Bay. We stayed on-site, with an alarmingly high room rate. We thought that being a resort, the rooms would certainly be worth. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The resort facility was nice, but the room was lacking considerably, especially when price is considered.

I expected ocean views on almost every hole. Instead, despite the proximity to the ocean, the only hole that offered true ocean views was #17. The course was in decent condition, but the same course (with as good or better scenery) in Wisconsin would cost you 1/2 as much.

The staff at the entire resort was very friendly and helpful. It's a shame the golf wasn't the experience I hoped it would be.

i played this twice while staying at turtle bay. it was in great shape. the staff is super friendly and very helpful. the best ive seen actually. tee times were flexible and i never ran into anybody. the scenery was nice although you expect better being in hawaii. the 17th hole was obviously the best. great course, a must play if on Oahu.
