The 18-hole "Sun City" course at the Sun City Peachtree facility in Griffin, Georgia features 6822 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.5 and it has a slope rating of 135. The estimated green fees for 18 holes is $85. Sun City Peachtree Golf Club has an onsite driving range with 6 practice tees. Designed by Gary Stephenson, the Sun City golf course opened in 2008.
Sun City Peachtree Golf Course is part of the Club Corp family of courses. It is intertwined within the Del Webb Adult Community and relatively free of hazards. It is an excellent course for older golfers, but the undulating greens are a significant and fun challenge. The course offers lots of hills and is well maintained. I recommend it highly.
Save your money, the Cannongate group is NOT interested in running premier golf courses. They have become the Dollar Store in comparison to other courses in the surrounding Atlanta area - cheap crap for the masses. Sun City will soon be just like the Cotton Fields in McDonough.
Not very long as far as newer courses go but the undulating greens try to make up for that. Condition was very good when I played it. Overall a fun place to play but don't look to see any state championships or qualifying events here. For a hoot, when its warm out try playing to nearly dark and watch the residents (this is a 55+ community) start cruising the course in their personal carts while having few drinks. Quite amusing.
