Nice track, play was a little slow but not too bad. Green were very good, fairways were short and a little dry but playable.
A very nice, solid course. Played Boca Greens on a nice day on a Friday in January. This course was in excellent shape. This course is largely flat and features quite a bit of water - a typical Florida layout. My favorite hole (and one that killed my scorecard) was the 17th hole - a par 5 with water pretty much everywhere (or everywhere I seemed to hit the ball!). The greens are in good shape -- not as fast as some of the other Florida courses that I have played, but they run smooth and true. Unfortunately, some jerk recently drove his car over one of the greens (#12 I believe), but it appears to be on the mend and recovering nicely. There are five sets of tees, ranging from 5,400 yards to 7,000 yards, so all golfing abilities can play this course. The middle tees - the white ones - measure about 6,300 yards. In my opinion, this course plays easier than its course and slope rating (71.1/135 from the white tees), so a good round here keeping the ball in play will help lower your handicap.Staff was friendly and helpful. In summary, a very nice layout, friendly staff and a nice overall course.
Boca Greens and Abacoa are my favorite Joe Lee designs. Beautiful scenery. Excellent value.
