One of the best public courses in the area. Big fairways, good bunkering and excellent greens. There are lots of houses on the course, but they are adequately set back. Interesting and walkable.

A pleasant place to play with nice staff and a well-maintained course. The June weather was perfect and I didn't mind loosing balls in the water :)

I have frequented Indian Peaks for the past 10 years and love this beautiful and challenging Hale Irwin designed course, except for #7 where he forgot to remove that giant tree in front of the green.

It is quite possibly the most well maintained public course in the Metro area with a wonderful grounds crew that appreciates golf and good golf shots.

The staff, from the pros to assistants are knowledgeable and friendly and treat me like an old friend. There is a sense that they want you there and want you to come back. Different than most public courses. Food and beverage and cart persons are friendly and professional.

A few years ago they hardened up the greens and made them considerably faster, which has made playing there that much more challenging and fun. Not a course for the average weekend duffer if you want to enjoy the game, but it is a great course for amateurs that can keep it in the fairway and like slick putting surfaces.

Play when ready would speed things up a bit, my only real complaint, not the course or the staff but slow players that struggle 5 minutes over a 100 yard approach, or waiting for three others to hit when you are 50 yards away from eac. Seriously, we all hit well enough on the range when we are talking to each other in the middle of shots, take that to the course and you will have a more enjoyable time.

I'm a golfer who loves a good course design and scenery, however, the manners and the way the staff treats a customer is much more important to me, as that sets the tone of the course as well as my mood when I play for joy.

I have played at this course 7 times to date and had to take rainchecks, 2x.

I went back to the club house and I have to say that one of the assistants is abrasive and rude. He treated me as if I like getting rainchecks since he said that I ask for rainchecks "everytime" and as if I were just another insignificant
individual. I do not go 1+hour out of my way to take rainchecks, that's ridiculous.

Maybe they have way too many customers and so they don't need people like me?
Would it have made a difference if this individual knows how influential I am as a businessman and in other areas? I guess what I'm trying to say is If a teaching assistant can treat customers... real paying customers this way, it says a whole lot about what kind of people they are. Not to mention they have no business to be in the customer service industry , heck nor even deal with customers period.

As much as I like this course, I decided to take my business as well as the rest of my associates and sponsors from my company elsewhere. Somewhere else that we can treat each other with mutual respect. Even if it means driving another 30-60 minutes further away.

Indian Peaks is a nice course which in last five years has become overpriced when compared to Saddleback, Broadlands and Riverdale Dunes. The layout allows easy walking except for holes 15 & 17. I like to play it two or three times a year especially in the fall when the greens roll perfectly.
