The Lake Almanor Golf Course has great views and a challenging layout making it a must-stop on your next trip to Northern California. This par-35, nine-hole course measures 2,919 yards from the back tees. This is neither a short nor particularly easy nine-hole golf course, with two par-5 holes. In fact, you will open your round on the 506-yard, par-5 first hole, the longest hole on the course. The seventh hole is also a par-5 at 474 yards.The semi-private course offers excellent views of the nearby Cascade Mountain Range and Lake Almanor. The course is well-maintained and features plenty of mature pine trees to create a challenge and an attractive backdrop to your round.In addition to the course, a 12-tee driving range is available so you can warm up prior to playing. The staff is friendly and will point you in the right direction.An annual unlimited play pass is available for around $850. A non-member can play nine holes for $32 or 18 holes for $47, which seems a little steep but reasonable given the excellent condition of the course.
