Rare gem tucked way off the beaten track. WELL WORTH THE EFFORT TO PLAY!! The course is very challenging and can be quite long when playing from the tips. Beautiful scenary along the trek. If you're looking for a course to test your skill I would recommend this one. Well worth the small $$ to play. No frills clubhouse. A must play for those who love the game.
Just played this course yesterday with my gf. It is a great find, and has a very serene/peaceful/soothing type feel to it. This course is so tucked away in a Ranch area, it's a great escape for the day with nobody breathing down your neck to play fast, and very good value for the twilight rate. The course itself was in good shape, with the strong points being the fairways, approaching areas, tee boxes. the greens were pretty good, nothing fantastic with some airated bumps but not on every hole though. Overall, its an excellent value. i've never played a course that good for $25 cart included.
What a great find the Cross Creek Golf Course was! We were staying at the Temecula Creek Inn in order to play golf but were disturbed by the very loud freeway noise (2 of the three 9 hole courses were right on the highway), and the inability to get on to the 3rd course which was away from the highway...you can’t play it as a 9 hole even if you offered to pay for 18 holes. I scouted around the Temecula area and came up with the Cross Creek. Wow. What a great course. It is in really terrific condition. The holes are varied and quite challenging. The course plays through trees on some holes, but mainly it plays up and down rolling hills through gorgeous meadow areas. (see their web-site at http://www.crosscreekgolfclub.com/) The pace of play was good. The course is not over-run with people as is Temecula. There is an attractive club house with a restaurant and a nice golf shop. Every single staff member we talked to was friendly, helpful and had an upbeat sense of humor! Our round, after 2:00 (as I recall) was $25.00 each including cart. What a deal.Finding Cross Creek saved the vacation for us!
