Racism seems to be an ongoing problem at this golf club.

We live in one of the most diverse areas in the country and this business can't seem to eliminate the toxic workers who are continuing to spread their tumor-like behavior to people who are different based on their skin or the inability to speak English.

It all starts from one man and this old white male worker sitting behind the desk all day who was too ashamed to give me his name, has one simple job. It's to give customers the number of the section they should go to for their appointment.

My mom who has been a member at this club for over 2 years goes in for her appointment and gives her name and the time she has an appointment. And every time, this old white male worker has to give her a hard time whether it is about her name or her inability to speak English and says unnecessary belittling comments that make other white workers snicker to make her feel uncomfortable and inferior.

He does not need to question her because he already knows her and she has already done most of the work online as a customer. She signed into her account with her name on it, she picked a date/time, the level whether it is lower or upper, and she paid as a member. So, unless he doesn't know how to do his simple job of looking up the schedule and finding an open spot for her or he is a racist trying to deliberately make her life miserable and it's clearly the latter.

I've been to this club many times with or without my mom. My friends have also been to this club many times over the years. We've never had issues going in and getting our spot or balls whether it was pre or post covid. We never had any issues with anyone, except this privileged old white male who thinks he's superior because he is a white man and knows one language that happens to be English. He feels like he's entitled to talk down on people and behave in such a childish manner when there are other white kids working there watching and learning from his treatment of others who are different from them.

Whether he likes it or not, he is in customer service. We are paying customers even if we aren't white like him, even if we don't speak the same language as him. Bullies like him are why there are so many Asian hate crimes throughout America right now and he should just stay home if he has nothing but negativity to ruin peoples' day.

The manager has been notified and we've tried multiple times to reach out to her. Unfortunately, now this is on her.

The place is a dump. I end up here every other year and am reminded why I don't go more often.

The staff is rude and arrogant. The 'boss' has policies in place that seem to indicate that they don't want their patrons back. The driving range is in serious need of repair. $12 to hit a large bucket of balls off thread bare mats with no tees and crumbling walkways. The cafe has been reduced to a shack with one table.

On the course, the 1st hole has been cut in half and converted to a par 3 to make room for a 'premium practice area' that is way overpriced. The course isn't maintained too well. Trees are overgrown, the surrounding townhomes are right off the fairways and not adequately protected. If it rains, most fairways retain stagnant water for a long time.

Bottom-line is look for another executive course in the area. Sunken Garden offers more for less. Deep Cliff is a wonderful 18 hole executive course. In the south, Santa Teresa has a par-3 course with a lot more character.

Fun, short course. Usually a decent pace of play. Not the most scenic, but when it comes to short little executive courses Pruneridge is a little more difficult than some of the others in the area. Driving range and facilities have been redone recently, they are all much nicer now. Worth twenty something on the weekends if you don't have time or cash for 18.
