Glenwood Country Club

I played this course twice in 2013, in July and August. This course is difficult and does provide numerous blind tee and approach shots. Several holes require approach shots over water, so choose your clubs wisely. The greens is typically in better shape earlier in the year because the heat and humidity are tough to care for. The lodge is sufficient for a golf trip. I found the food to be very good and the staff to be extremely hospitable. The course is a great value, especially with the "Stay and Play" packages. Overall, I rate this course very high.

Too many blind shots!! Very disturbing for a course on the "Nature Trail" which should expect to have a large number of visiting players. A couple of greens were terrible and the first green was a temporary, but no one bothered to mention it. However, the property was attractive. The club house was also attractive, but the food was almost non-existent (fix your own chicken or burgers) and no one could work the cash register because it was asking for a discount which was not used often. I won't be back, and I will check other courses on the Arkansas Nature Trail more thoroughly before trying any.
